Feel Unique Haul | SALE

Feelunique.com has an amazing summer sale on at the moment, with up to 75% discount on hundreds of products + an extra 10% off until Monday, 8th September. I'm trying to stick to a reasonable budget every month, so I didn't go too crazy, even though I really wanted to! But I did pick up 3 items I had my eyes on for a long time.

Maybelline Color Elixirs in the UK | Review

Maybelline Color Elixirs finally arrived in the UK at the end of August. I was so excited! I didn't think twice and ran to Superdrug as soon as I found out.

The colours are beautiful. In my local pharmacy they had 5 shades, including a nude, an orange and a red. All absolutely eye catching. But being the pink lover that I am, I went straight for 105 Petal Plush and 705 Blush Essence. Petal Plush is a lovely baby pink, slightly blue-ish toned, with some fine shimmers in it and Blush Essence is a more rosy shade, not as shimmery, but still very glossy. It's my favourite out of the two.

The texture is super soft and moisturising. It's unlike any other similar product on the market. The Revlon Moisture Lip Stains are probably the most similar in terms of how comfortable they feel on the lips. However, the Color Elixirs are still much better, in my opinion. They are not too gloopy (unless you apply too much) and the colour on the tube remains the same once applied to the lips. If you read my review on the Revlon Lip Stains (here), I mentioned that I didn't like how the barbie pink shade I bought turned into a much darker, reddish colour after application. This doesn't happen with the Maybelline Color Elixirs at all.

Staying power is also pretty good. Even after eating or drinking I could still feel my lips a little moisturised and it leaves a subtle stain behind. Not as strong as other Lip Stains, but I'd say I only need to reapply once/twice during the whole day, unless I'm eating and drinking too often! And to top it off, it smells amazing!

The only thing I would change would be for the shade 105 Petal Plush to be less glittery. Just personal preference. But overall, I can't fault this product. I'm really impressed! It was honestly love at first swipe! :-)

Superdrug currently has a '2 for £10' deal on them. I'm tempted to buy more shades! I saw online that there's also a Caramel and a Coral lip gloss, which my local shop didn't have. I will hunt them down or will order online! Superdrug offers free delivery to the shops, which is pretty convenient.

Have you got your hands on the Color Elixirs yet? What are your thoughts on them? X
