My Hair Care Routine
Not quite sure why but my hair went into a really bad state and was in desperate need for TLC. I then decided to invest on some new hair products and it's made a huge difference. I'm now much happier with my hair care routine and the way my hair feels and looks.
I went back to trustee duo Kérastase Bain de Force Shampoo & Conditioner. This line is promises to strengthen the hair and protect it from breaking. And I have to say it has made my hair look healthier and more radiant again. I love Kérastase. I need to purchase a different duo to alternate with this one. I once read it's always good to rotate shampoos as it avoids residue build up.
Sometimes, instead of Kérastase's Conditioner, I use Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 Minute Treatment with argan and camellia oils. It's like a thicker conditioner/mask. Just 1 minute and I rinse it off. I like it but not quite sure if I would repurchase it.
After I towel dry my hair I apply Argan Oil Hair Treatment to the ends. This one is enriched with Vitamin E and I can tell it makes my hair really soft and bouncy whenever I use this. I get split ends quite easily, so this is an important step for me. I buy it from Boots.
Two or Three times a month, usually on the weekends, I also use Macadamia Deep Repair Masque to give my hair extra nourishment. This mask is so good! It's got a combination of macadamia oil and argan oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts. I keep repurchasing it. I haven't found a better hair mask yet.
If I use any hair tool, I then smooth on L'Oreal Studio Line Hot Straight Cream for heat protection. I usually wear this when my hair is wet. However, when my hair is dry and I want to straighten it, I prefer to use TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray. Unlike the L'Oreal cream, this spray sometimes does seem to leave a tiny bit of residue on my hair, but it's nothing major. It's only perceptible by the touch and it doesn't bother me at all. Smells lovely and again, makes my hair appear glowy and healthy.
Lastly, but not least, I've finally adopted the Tangle Teezer. I resisted this for a long time because I just didn't believe it could be any better than other brushes. But it is! I don't know how or why but it does seem to break my hair a lot less and detangles it quicker than usual.
These are the most essential things I've been using to look after my hair recently. Have you tried any of these products? Is there anything you think I should add to my hair care routine? I would love some recommendations. :)
