NARS Audacious Lipstick | Review & Swatch

To celebrate their 20th Anniversary, Nars recently launched the Audacious Lipsticks.

The packaging is super sleek, making them look and feel luxurious! It's been designed with a magnetic lid that has an awesome click (oh yeah, the click) and the name Nars embossed on the lipstick.

It's got a satin finish and the pigmentation is incredible. These are possibly the most pigmented and long lasting lipsticks I've ever tried. One swipe and bam! Even though they are not marketed as a staining product, they do stain the lips, which helps the colour last a good few hours. So you won't need to reapply it that often. With eating and drinking, I reckon they last about 4-5h before I need to top it up.

They're fantastic, very creamy and feel much more comfortable on the lips than the average satin/semi-matte lipstick.

It comes in 40 gorgeous shades, all supposedly named after important women. I got mine in 'Raquel', which is a gorgeous pinky / peachy nude. It's the perfect "my lips but better". Good for every day, every look!
Left: Hand swatch (only 1 swipe). Right: Swatch on the lips

They are priced at £24 and are already available in Selfridges and Space NK. However, if you don't mind waiting a little bit, you can pre-order them for only £21.60 plus free worldwide delivery at lookfantastic.com, which I think is a great offer! They will release them on 1st October.

While they're not cheap, I believe you get what you pay for. So if you want a high quality product, that's pretty, pigmented and long lasting, Nars Audacious Lipsticks are worth their price tag.

What's your experience with Nars lipsticks? Have you tried the Audacious line? X
