Obsessed with Cream Eyeshadows

Cream shadows are one of my favourite makeup products. Most people seem to wear them as a base for powder eyeshadow, but I love wearing them alone for a quick wash of colour on my lids.

The winner of the budget category for me would have to be Maybelline Color Tattoo.
I have it in the shades On and On BronzePink Gold and Permanent Taupe. It's amazing, especially considering the price (only £4.99 here). I usually need primer to hold my eyeshadows in place but not with this one. It won't budge, not even in hot weather. It's that good! And I'm excited by new shades I've spotted on Boot's website, which I believe are the matte versions they have released in the US a while ago, but never made it to the UK. Not until now anyway.

For me Rimmel is another amazing brand when it comes to long lasting cream shadows. I'm currently addicted to their Rimmel Scanleyes Eyeshadow Stick in the shade Bluffing. I bought it because it reminded me a lot of the Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in Lots a Latte. I'm so pleased I went for the budget option. The colour is gorgeous and it lasts all day on me. Again, there's no need for primer.

Another amazing Rimmel products is the Scandaleyes Shadow Paint. This is more like a liquid shadow and the lasting power is once again incredible. I have the shade Rich Russet, which is a lovely bronze / taupe colour.

Going to more expensive products, comes my 1st cream eyeshadow ever, Mac Paint Pots. I've got the shades Painterly, Groundwork & Constructivist. I love Painterly in those days I'm in a rush and just need to look brighter and more awake. It's also my go to base, before applying powder eyeshadows. Groundwork is a gorgeous light brown and Constructivist is a dark coppery shade to die for. I love Paint Pots but I have to say that at least on me they do crease a bit sometimes, after about 6 hours of use. If I'm going to an occasion where I want them to stay put for longer then I'll use a primer underneath.
Makeup Forever Aqua Cream #13 is a creamy beige eyeshadow that reminds me of a slightly more golden version of Mac Bare Study. Such a pretty shade, very sparkly and long lasting. Normally I don't need to wear primer with this, however, when I wore it in Barcelona, where it was very hot and humid, I noticed some creasing after a few hours. Nothing too major, though.

My latest purchase and my current favourite is, By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock. I love this so much! It's very creamy, pigmented and super long lasting. I always feel so glamorous when I wear it. If you wanna know more, I have a full review on it here

Kiko will probably be the next brand to join my collection, as I've heard a lot of amazing things about their eyeshadow sticks. I've tested their products in store and they seem really good.

What do you think about cream eyeshadows? Which one(s) do you like the most? X
