TOP 10 | Tag

I was tagged to do the Top 10 Tag by one of my favourite bloggers Alina from Beauty With Charm. I love reading tag posts so I was obviously very excited to do my very first one. So let's get started.

Foundation
Even though I have a love affair with Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, my one true love remains as YSL Touche Éclat Foundation. It's dewy, light and got a very radiant finish. Covers enough, whilst still looking very natural. I've got a full review of it here

Concealer
Concealer is the only thing I can never leave the house without. I inherited dark circles (that are worsened by staying up late frequently) so concealer is my biggest makeup must have. I've tried so many drugstore and high end concealers over the years and the best one I've found so far is Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. My under eye area is slightly dry so I love that this concealer is light, moisturising and never looks cakey. It's also very brightening and it doesn't crease on me. And the best part is it's cheap. :)

Powder

I'm not much of a powder person. My skin is more on the dry side, so I find that powder on top of foundation can look a bit flaky. I do, however, enjoy wearing Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation sometimes. This is a powder foundation that has an amazing coverage whilst still allowing the skin to shine through it, looking very natural. Some people wear it to set their makeup, but I wear it instead of liquid foundation, on it's own. I apply it with either the sponge that comes with it or a dense powder brush. My shade is NW20. It's a perfect match for me.

Blush

I don't own a huge amount of blushes, but I love every single one I have. So I decided to mention the one I believe I wear the most, which is Mac Cremeblend Blush in Ladyblush. I'm a sucker for a dewy look, so cream blushes are my best friends. Ladyblush is a very natural mauvey pink, that can be worn everyday, pretty much with any look.

Bronzer
I have a post on my favourite bronzers here. The one I've been wearing non stop recently is the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow. It's a bit like the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick but a lot less shimmery. In fact, once applied, it doesn't look shimmery at all, so in my opinion, it's much more wearable and suitable for any time of the day. I tend to apply it with a big fluffly blush, to add a little glow all over the face. But it's buildable, so if I wanted I could wear it as a contour powder as well. Such a nice and cheap product.

Highlighter

Even though I have had highlighters for years, only recently I started to wear it more frequently. My absolute favourite has to be theBalm Mary Lou Manizer. It's amazing!!! Such a gorgeous champagne colour and super pigmented. I just need to lightly touch my brush onto the product and that's enough for each cheek. Beautiful. I'm in love with it! And it will last ages.

Mascara

Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara is the best. Adds length and volume, super water resistant and holds the curl like no other I've tried. And it cost only £8. You can't beat this mascara. I prefer it a couple of weeks after I first opened it, though, once it has dried a little. Although I try new mascaras all the time, I keep going back to this one. It's my absolute favourite.

Eyeshadow

Although I love my UD Naked palette 1, I still gravitate towards my Mac Eyeshadows a lot more. They are pigmented and I love their texture and shade range. I also love that we can buy the pro palettes and customise them. This one in the photo is my go to quad. But I have about 12 Mac eyeshadows. My most loved one out of all of them is All That Glitters. I will do a separate post showing my full collection soon.

Brow

Recently I've been really enjoying the Sleek Brow Pencil. It's so practical and long lasting. On one end you have the waxy pencil and on the other end you get a spoolie, to help brush the hair and soften the look of the brows. I've got it in the shade medium.

Lip Products
Mac Modesty (left) and Mac Haute Altitude (right)

I am a huge lipstick lover. So this was like asking a mum to choose their favourite child. Impossible! But I'd say Mac Lipsticks in general are my favourite because of the amazing shade range and variety of finishes they offer. Plus the price is much cheaper than usual high end brands. My all time favourite lipstick unfortunately is a Mac Limited Edition called Haute Altitude. From Mac's permanent collection, I'd say the most similar shade to it is Mac Fanfare. Haute Altitude is a bit more pink and it's got an amplified finish, which I love, as it's very smooth, moisturising and pigmented. Because Haute Altitude is no longer available, I decided to also include Mac Modesty, which is a beautiful brown-ish nude, in a cremesheen finish. Perfect for everyday.

Well, these are my Top 10. I enjoyed doing this tag so much! A huge shout out to Alina again, for tagging me. :) I hope you all enjoy reading this.
