Makeup Revolution New Releases | Swatches & First Impressions

Euphoria Palette in Bare and Radiant Light in Breath

While browsing on Makeup Revolution's website, I spotted they had some NEW and very exciting releases. 2 of them caught my attention and I felt like I just had to give them a try and tell you my first impressions.

I'm gonna start by talking about the Makeup Revolution Radiant Light in Breath, as these are supposed to be a DUPE for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. You can apply it all over the face, for an instant glow, or you can focus it on top of the cheekbones, as a cheek highlighter, although I found it a bit too subtle for that. I love the pattern, the sturdy packaging and the fact that it comes with a mirror, which is always good for touch ups on the go. At only £5 I think this is brilliant!! I tried it a couple times now (with a traditional powder brush) and I'm in LOVE!! It's ultra finely milled and the finish is satiny / luminous. It's not frosty at all! So don't worry. As you can see by the photos below, it's sort of flesh toned with a sheen. It just adds a beautiful glow to the complexion, making me look radiant and healthy. A must have in my opinion, especially if like me, you want to try the Hourglass powders but doesn't want to splurge.

The other product I picked up was the Euphoria Palette in Bare, which is a "do it all" eye and cheek palette. Such a great idea for travelling, however, I'm disappointed with this palette. It comes with 6 eyeshadows (2 matte and 4 shimmery), a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush that reminds me a lot of Nars Orgasm. The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is poor in my opinion. If you are used to high quality eyeshadows like Urban Decay, Mac, etc, you're probably going to struggle with these. I felt like I had to go back in with the brush a few times to get some colour on my lids and still wasn't good enough. There's also a bit of fall out when applying. :( The star of the show here are the face powders. The shades are beautiful and they have good pigmentation. Love the bronzer and the highlighter. So as you can see the palette is a bit of hit and miss. Very affordable at £6 but unfortunately the eyeshadows were not good enough for me.

So I would definitely recommend the Radiant Light Powder in Breath. It's amazing!!! And very affordable. But I'd probably pass on the eye/cheek palette just because the pigmentation is not quite there.

You can only get these on the Makeup Revolution's website. Shipping is free on orders over £30 or £2.95 on other orders, which is not bad.

Do you like Makeup Revolution? If so, what's your favourite product from their line? X
