15 Beauty Favourites of 2015

2015 Beauty Favourites
Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones over the Christmas period. I really enjoyed taking a little break from blogging to go out more, sleep more, have fun and spend more quality time with my family. What's not to like?

However, the break is now over and so is 2015. Blogging wise, it was an amazing year and I've got a lot to be thankful for. I had such a great time discovering and trying new products. And as a tradition, I've listed my favourite beauty products of 2015 for you, including only categories that really stood out to me. :)

2015 Beauty Favourites
Wow, that's a mouth full. haha I currently have normal/combination skin and tend to go for tinted moisturisers most of the time. Complexion Rescue is a cream (almost mousse like) base, that helps me achieve a more dewy and glowy finish, making me look healthy. The coverage is light to medium and looks really natural, which I love. I got shade 02 Vanilla and it's a perfect match (has been working great both Summer and Winter). This would be a great option for people with dry skin, as it's really hydrating. For more details, please read my review here. If I had to choose a proper foundation for 2015, I'd pick Collection Illuminating Touch. If you're curious about it, keep an eye on the blog, as I'm going to review it here very soon.

I'm not much of a primer person (too lazy?) so this is actually a setting spray, which I wore a lot during the Summer months, especially when I went on holiday to warmer countries. It's fab and does what it says on the tin. I thought about including the Too Faced Hangover Primer, which I'm currently really into but since I've only just started using it, I didn't think it was fair to include it. But if you wanna know more about it, I have a full review here

I've already raved about this concealer way too much, so I won't repeat myself again. All I'm gonna say is it's amazing and my favourite not only of 2015 but EVER! Bold, I know, but true. Check my review here. A drugstore option, which is a bit more powdery and a little less hydrating (but also very nice) is the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer. As you can see in the photo above, mine is nearly over. I really like it the formula and the sponge applicator.

Brow Product - Benefit Gimme Brow
This is the only product that is a repeat for 2014 and 2015. I love it for days I'm in a rush and can barely put any makeup on. Colours my brows slightly, making them appear fuller and setting them at the same time. LOVE IT! I want to do a post comparing it to other more affordable brow gels like L'Oreal and Essence. So stay tuned! ;)

It's a close tie between these and my Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne (review coming up soon). I love both so much. Such luxury products. They are actually very similar in texture but Tom Ford wins in pigmentation.

I have been loving these polishes for a while now. They are just incredible and do last the promised 7 days on me. The most long lasting polishes I've tried so far and I love their big shade range, that goes from nudes to brights and wintery colours.

Mascara - Benefit Roller Lash
I got a sample when it was released back in February and fell in love with it. Due to the price being high, I decided to wait and try a similar alternative: Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I really like it and would recommend it for those who don't want to splurge but I just had to repurchase the Benefit Roller Lash because I think it separates my lashes better, doesn't look clumpy and looks more natural.

Single Eyeshadow - Burberry Eyeshadow in Pale Barley
The Burberry eyeshadows are quite expensive but to me, they are worth the price. The formula is so pigmented and buttery smooth and the packaging is simply stunning. I love both shades I own but Pale Barley is definitely my most used one. Such a pretty everyday shade. Check review and swatches here. A similar and much more affordable option, which I also love, is the H&M Eyeshadow - Baci Di Dama. I also couldn't do a favourite's post without mentioning MAC Tan Pigment. So, so gorgeous! It converted me into a pigment lover. Amazing shade, no fall out. Simply stunning with a darker colour on the crease.

I couldn't quite decide between these so had to mention both. Kiko shade 06 Golden Brown is very similar to Charlotte Tilbury Marie Antoniette, so it all goes down to budget and preference (cream or stick). Both have very creamy and easy to blend texture, very pigmented and long lasting. Great products for a quick "one shade all over the lid" kind of look.

This is a new-ish acquisition but as they say, when it's love, you just know it. :) Beautiful shade selection (mix of brights and neutrals), texture and high pigmentation. Overall amazing quality and reasonable price. I highly recommend checking this palette out. Read more about it here

Choosing my favourite blush was very tough as I tend to change all the time but I've fallen in love with the baremineral palette since I got it back in the beginning of October and it's pretty much all I've been wearing most of the time. I love that it's a 3 in 1 palette, with a beautiful and very wearable bronzer, blush and highlighter. All 3 shades work beautifully on my skin tone. More about it here.

Gorgeous champagne/beige liquid highlighter. I love wearing it on top of my cheek bones or mix it in with my foundation for an extra glow. I got a set with a mini skin perfector and a mini Opal powder highlighter and I'm obsessed with both. I'm gonna post a review on the set soon so hang in there!

Fragrance - Paco Rabanne Olympea EDP
I got a deluxe sample of this perfume from The Perfume Shop at the #BloggersFestival event. Such a stunning packaging and I always get compliments whenever I wear it. Sweet but not too overpowering. Just a very sexy and elegant scent. I will probably buy the full size once my sample runs out.

I love skincare and so I've tested lots of products last year, making it nearly impossible to choose a favourite so I narrowed it down to 2. I apply the Divine Face Oil at night and it makes my skin soft and healthy by the morning. On top of that, it's 95% organic, which is always a big bonus for me. As for the eye cream, Kiehls might be taking the "favourite" spot from my beloved Bobbi Brown Eye Cream. Shocking. But it's that good. Smooths fine lines and makes my under eye area super plumped. I'll also post a review on it soon, so keep an eye out.

Eyelash Enhancer - Realash Eyelash Enhancer
I've done two posts on this eyelash enhancer. Life and other commitments for the blog got in the way and I ended up not doing my final update on the product (sorry). As you can see from my 1 month update, however, it's clear that this lash serum works amazingly well. I've never seen my lashes so long and full before. They stopped falling and were looking gorgeous, even better than in the 1 month update post. But that was until the treatment ended (3 months). My lashes have now started to fall again and I can see the impact of not using the serum. So the downside is it's not a cheap product so not great to have to repurchase every 3 months. But overall, amazing!! See for yourself here.

So these are my 2015 Beauty Favourites. What should be 15 products, turned out to be 15 categories. haha (emoticon covering eyes). It's way too hard to pick favourites when I've loved so many products this year.

What about you? If you had to choose just one product you really loved in 2015, what would it be? X
