Most Indulgent Nutella Dessert Recipe EVER!

Nutella Dessert Recipe, Creams With Nutella

Who, here, doesn't love chocolate? I think it's hard not to. And in the chocolate category of deliciousness, Nutella has to get a golden medal. Those around me know me well enough to give me a Nutella Recipe Book for Christmas (The 30 Best Recipes). It's a true gem for any chocolate lover. I'm obsessed!

Nutella Dessert Recipes

My favourite Nutella recipe I've tried from the book so far has to be this one, called Creams With Nutella. It's quick, simple, yet the epitome of chocolate indulgence.

The recipe claims to make 8 creams but I used ramekins and only managed to fill up 5 of them.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Chilling time: 4 hours

Ingredients:   3 egg yolks   •   75g of caster/superfine sugar (1/3 cup)   •   250ml of whole milk (1 cup)   •   125ml of single/light cream (1/2 cup)   •   125g of Nutella (scant 1/2 cup)

1. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in a bowl until they are pale and frothy.

2. Bring the milk and cream to the boil in a saucepan.

3. Pour this hot mixture onto the egg yolks, beating continuously.

4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over a medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture just comes to the boil. Remove from the heat & leave to cool for 10 minutes.

5. Once the time is up, gradually add the Nutella, mixing it in thoroughly until it's well combined.

6. Pour the mixture into eight individual moulds or eight glass yoghurt pots, and then refrigerate for at least four hours.

The recipe book suggests to add a little whipped cream to the top of these creamy desserts or sprinkle them with a few chopped, unsalted pistachios. But I thought it would be tastier to have them with some berries and sprinkle a bit of icing sugar on top. And voila! Creamiest and the most amazing Nutella dessert is ready to leave your taste buds yearning for more. Whoa! This sounds slightly sexual lol But what else can I say? This dessert is simply orgasmic. :D

I know Christmas is now gone, but I'm feeling generous *wink wink* and so I'll share with you another super simple recipe from this book that I also really enjoy making - the Banana Milkshake with Nutella. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a photo of this heavenly drink.

Banana Milkshake With Nutella

To make this for 2 people, you'll need 2 bananas / 400ml of whole milk, chilled / 3 tablespoons of Nutella / 1 tablespoon of caster sugar / 4 or 5 ice cubes. All you have to do is add all the ingredients together and blend them for 1 minute until the mixture is very creamy. A good tip is to replace the ice cubes for vanilla ice cream, which will make the milkshake even more dreamy. For a healthier option, you can use almond milk instead. But who are we kidding? We all know anything with Nutella is far from healthy but that's possibly what makes it a tad bit more exciting. ;)

Baking and trying new recipes is another one of my favourite hobbies. I would love to know if this is something you guys would like to see more on the blog. Please let me know in the comments. X
