There's no better way to say this other than I'm a sucker for tinted moisturisers. I don't like heavy coverage and always favour a more 'skin like' base. One of my favourite foundations is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, which is gel based. So when I heard about the release of the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream I knew I had to try it.
As the name suggests, this is a gel based tinted moisturiser. The formula is very mousse like. It applies on the face like a dream. Glides on easily and evens out the skin tone beautifully, while still looking very natural. Bear in mind this offers a very light coverage, which I don't think is very buildable. But feels very hydrating on the skin and leaves a lovely dewy finish, that doesn't look greasy at all.
The shade range also seems pretty good, offering 10 variety of colours, from very light to medium and dark. I got the shade 02 Vanilla and it's a perfect match for me. Another great thing about this product is it's parabens, silicon, oil and fragrance free, making it highly suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It's also hypoallergenic, non comedogenic and filled with antioxidants to protect the skin against environmental stress and damage. And to top it all up, it contains SPF30 PA+++, a big bonus in my opinion, especially during Summer.

This product is skincare and makeup in one. The claims are (based on clinical study):
- 215% increase in skin hydration after one week
- 100% of women experienced an improvement in skin texture after just one week
I can certainly agree with both statements, as my skin has been feeling super soft and hydrated since I started wearing it. I personally think this product is incredible and can't fault it. Really recommend it to anyone looking for a light base for Summer.
It retails for £26 (for 35ml) but it's currently on sale for £20.80 at Gorgeous Shop.
