Mini Beauty Haul - Boots and Superdrug

I spotted a couple releases and promotions in Boots and Superdrug this week and I couldn't resist them. First thing that caught my eyes was the new Max Factor Clump Defy Extensions Mascara.
I have used the original Clump Defy and really liked it so I thought I'd try this one as it's supposed to be even better. Its new formula with carbon black fibers promises to offer 200% more volume, fibre-extended length and definition. It comes with the same anti-clump plastic brush as the previous Clump Defy Mascara. It's exclusive to Superdrug and it's on sale for £8.99 until 30th July (after that it'll go back to £11.99).

I also picked up the Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask. It has been reduced to just £7 in Boots (usually £10.50). This mask heats up on your face, which is supposed to help to open up the pores so the charcoal and kaolin clay can draw out the impurities from deep within the skin. I've already tried it once and it's quite nice. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated, unlike other conventional clay masks, which I find quite drying.

The other items in my basket were Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, which is a dupe for the Bioderma Sensibio H2O, and Lanolips Lip Ointment with SPF 15 in the colour Rhubarb. Lovely pink sheen and super moisturising. Possibly one of the best lip balms I've ever tried.

Last but not least, I got one of the most recent releases from L'Oreal, the Colour Riche Mono Eyeshadow in the colour 201 Cafe St Germain. I'm not very good at describing colours but I'd say it's a beautiful taupe shade with a hint of lavender. Looks gorgeous all over the lid. I'm already wondering if I should pick up more shades. Superdrug has got a "buy 1 get 2nd 1/2 price" on L'Oreal makeup until the end of the month so I'm already wondering if I should pick up more shades.

What have you bought from the drugstore/high street recently?
