Naked Smoky Palette | Daytime Look

Naked smoky eyeshadow palette daytime look

I've recently purchased the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette (review and swatches here) and fell in love with it. That palette is simply beautiful and it's been all I wear now and I've even taken it on holiday with me last week. I love the shades and looks I can create with this palette but there's one particular look that I really like for daytime and I thought I'd show you everything I wear to achieve it.

Autumn Travel Makeup

Not the greatest photo, as it was taken with my iPhone (in a bit of a rush) but this is the makeup I took with me to Ireland and therefore, this is what I wore for this look, with exception of the lipstick, as I chose to go for a different nude.

So my face products of choice were:
1. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream (shade Vanilla 02)
2. Clarins Instant Concealer (shade Light 01)
3. Benefit Gimme Brow (light/medium)
4. Urban Decay Naked Flushed compact - Streak
5. Nars Audacious Lipstick - Raquel

Naked Smoky eyeshadow palette step by step guideFor the eyes I started off by applying my favourite primer, Mac Painterly Paint Pot. I then grabbed my Naked Smoky palette and mixed the shades Combust and Whiskey and applied them all over the crease, using a big fluffy brush. I then applied Password (matte grey / taupe) to the outer and inner corner of my eyes, taking it to the crease to connect both corners, creating a halo effect. To give the eye a more sparkly look, I added High (a beautiful champagne shimmery shade) to the centre of my lid and inner corner, right by the tear duct. I applied Password again in my lower lash line and Thirteen to my brow bone. To finish the look, I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal (Black) and Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, which is my current high end mascara.
Naked Smoky eyeshadow palette finished daytime look
I hope you like the finished look. Very simple but I love the darker tones for Autumn. I'm generally a nude lip kinda girl but I think this makeup is neutral enough to be worn with a berry lip as well, making it even more Autumn appropriate. :)
