Tanya Burr Cosmetics | Haul & First Impressions

Tanya Burr Cosmetics

I have followed Tanya Burr on YouTube for a couple years now and my favourite videos from her are the makeup tutorials. So when I saw she had revamped her packaging and added more products to her beauty line, I thought I'd try some of them and share my thoughts with you.

I'm addicted to eyeshadows, so the items I was most excited about were her eyeshadow quads, which are a new release. Because I already have way too many bronze eyeshadows in my collection, I went for the Galaxy Eye Palette, which is filled with 4 lovely shades.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Galaxy Eyeshadow PaletteSnowflake is a satin stark white, which I use as brow bone and inner corner highlighter. Moonlight is a pretty shimmery grey (although it swatched a bit more on the champagne side). Stormy Sky is a matte finish soft brown, which reminds me a lot of Mac Quarry. Great crease shade. Lastly, there's Starry Night, a very pigmented black with silver sparkles.

This is a very nice quad. The packaging is made of cardboard but looks really cute and also comes with a handy mirror. And most importantly, I like all the shades. They're not groundbreaking but are nicely pigmented, very wearable and easy to blend. The only problem I've experienced was a bit of glitter fall out from the black shade. I'd personally prefer a matte black. There are 2 other palettes available: Hollywood Eye Palette & Fairy Tale Eye Palette.

Second item I bought was the Tanya Burr Nail Polish in the colour Duvet Day. Love the colour. So pretty. But this product was a big disappointment. For starters, the brush is still the old traditional brush, that I've come to dislike. Much prefer the larger ones, like the ones you'll find in Maybelline polishes. But the worst was the quality. My nail chipped in less than 24h. Ok, I didn't apply a top coat, but still... I rarely do and most of my polishes last at least 4-5 days. Such a shame, as the colour is really nice.

And the last item I picked up was the Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in the shade Lunch Date. Lovely peachy nude. I really enjoy wearing this on top of Mac Whirl or No7 nude lip liner. The texture is a bit gloopier than I'd like it to be but not too sticky either. It's a nice lip gloss and smells simply delicious.

Tanya Burr's beauty line also include a new brow palette and eye lashes. I wouldn't really recommend the nail polishes but both the eyeshadow palette and the lip gloss get a thumbs up from me.

Have you tried anything from Tanya Burr Cosmetics? X
