What's In My Bag?

This is not my usual kind of post but I want to slowly introduce a bit more of fashion to the blog and so I decided to start with my favourite item of the moment, my Michael Kors Jet Set Top Zip Saffiano Leather Tote. :)

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen it making a quick appearance there. I believe the grey colour was a limited edition for A/W14 as I can't find it anywhere anymore. But this bag style is still available in many colours like black, white, tan, navy and a gorgeous orange/coral shade they brought out now for SS15 (here). It usually retails for £220 for the small size, which is the one I have. If you'd like something a little bit bigger, you can buy the medium size for only £20 more, at £240 (here).

Unlike most tote bags, I love that this one has a top zip, which is much safer. Living in London, I don't think I'd ever choose bags with an open top as sadly I've seen people being pick pocketed in the city centre. 

This bag is 100% leather but not the soft type, which I personally prefer as soft materials tend to get scratched easily and appear old quickly. It looks and feels very resistant. All the metal details are silver on the one I chose but most Michael Kors' bags seem to have golden details, for what I've seen. The size is also great. It fits comfortably on the shoulder and I find it's big enough to fit all my essentials without feeling heavy and bulky. It's also got a big inside zip compartment and plenty of small pockets. Great to keep my phone, a notepad and sometimes some of my makeup too. :)

I thought I'd also include a little peak through my bag and show you the few things I carry around with me. It may appear crazy to most of you, but I tend to prefer my bag to feel light so I limit the amount of contents in it. I didn't want to bore you with uninteresting items, so apart from the usual umbrella, earphones, keys, hand sanitizer and tissues, these are the items I have had on me at all times recently.
