BEST IN BEAUTY | February 2015

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great month. I'm certainly really happy that we are now officially in Spring. I'm loving that the weather is finally getting better and I can't wait for warmer and longer days. :)

I didn't do a January Favourites post so I decided to include here what I've been loving in the past couple months.

If you read my blog frequently, it will come to you as no surprise that I'm loving Clarins Instant Concealer. If you want to know more about this product, I wrote a post on it recently (read it here). It's basically a very light weight, good coverage and hydrating concealer. I recently found out it does flashback, which is not ideal, but I guess I'll just avoid wearing it whenever I know I'll be taking flash photos. Overall, it's an amazing concealer, especially for more mature ladies (over 30's).
I've recently bought the Burberry Eyeshadows in Pale Barley and Midnight Brown and I'm in love! Expensive stuff, but such an amazing pigmentation and the formula is a pleasure to work with. Although I love Pale Barley for day to day activities and I know it's a really popular eyeshadow online, I'm loving Midnight Brown the most. The fine gold specks of glitter in it give off the most gorgeous sheen to the lid, without any fallout. Not too bold either. Can easily be worn during the day. These eyeshadows scream luxury and I would not hesitate to buy more. They're now sold in Boots, which is brilliant. Check my review and more swatches here
When it comes to brushes, Zoeva beats everyone else in my opinion. Pretty, great quality and affordable. I got the Pink Elements Set for Christimas (see here) and the brush that stood out the most was the Zoeva #109 Luxe Face Paint Brush. I wasn't one for contouring before but this brush converted me. It makes the job so incredibly easy. I think anyone, even contour noobs like me, can achieve good chiselled cheeks with this brush. A lot of people are hyping up about the Real Techniques version, but why spend double the money when you can have this one? Just saying... :)
Another product I've been obsessed with since I got it back in December is the YSL Black Opium EDP. It's a mix of Coffee, Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Vanilla, Patchouli & Cedar resulting in the most delicious and sensual scent. And it lingers forever. I can still smell it on my hair the next day. Just divine! I get lots of compliments on it. If you have not tried it yet, please at least have a sniff, and I guarantee you'll also fall in love.

Finally, I've been loving Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balms, as they are super smooth and add a lovely hint of colour to the lips, while keeping them hydrated. I have the shades Hibiscus and Petunia.

I also got into applying hand cream and been really enjoying Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy in Lavender. I put this on before bed and I really like that it's moisturising without leaving my hands greasy at all. The Lavender scent is such a bonus, as it helps me relax and get in the mood for a good night's sleep.

So these have been my absolute favourite products. What have you been loving recently? Please feel free to tempt me with your recommendations. ;) X
