No7 | Mini Haul

No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define & No7 Precision Lip Pencil

While browsing in Boots, I noticed that No7 had the usual coupon for £3 off makeup and also a promotion to get a free goody box worth £24 for every 2 products you bought from their line. I've always been curious about No7 but have never tried many of their products so I decided to use the promotion as an excuse to put some of their products to the test.
No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define in Cool Mink & No7 Precision Lip Pencil in Nude
The 2 products I picked up were No7 Precision Lip Pencil in Nude & No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define in Cool Mink. And let me say... I am quite impressed with both. The lip pencil is a beautiful Kylie Jenner type of nude (with brown undertone - very similar to Mac Nice 'n' Spicy). I have been wearing it just with a sheer tinted lip balm or a nude lipstick on top and it looks lovely! Plus it's really long lasting and I only need to reapply my lipstick or lip balm once a day. The eyeshadow crayon is also incredible. Easy to apply, fairly easy to blend and also to remove. It's a beautiful shimmery taupe, great for both day and night. And it doesn't budge, no matter what. Honestly... I apply this at 9am for work and it's still perfect at around 7-8pm, when I remove my makeup. I'd say these are as good as Kiko and By Terry eyeshadow sticks, if not better, in terms of staying power. I also like that it comes with some sort of sharpener at the end of the stick, so that you can keep the edge pointy to use it as an eyeliner, if preferred. I probably won't use it, but I thought it was a nice extra detail, which might come in handy, especially for the darker shades. I'm very pleased with my picks. I paid only over £11 for both, which is really good considering they are great quality products. I will definitely buy more No7 lip liners and eyeshadow sticks in the future.

And because I bought 2 products, I then got the free gift box, that came with 4 travel sized products, which are No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Delicate Pink, No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow, Instant Illusions Airbrush Away Primer and No7 Lovely Lashes Mascara. I had mixed feelings with this box. I really like the lip crayon as it's a lovely sheer pinky nude, that feels hydrating on the lips. And I like the primer too. It feels soft and creamy just like a moisturiser and also smells lovely. It seems to mattify and smooth the skin a bit, which is nice. But £19.50 for a drugstore primer seems a bit much, which is why I'm not sure I'd buy the full size. I'm still testing it, though, and will report back later. The other 2 products in the box, however, were quite disappointing. The eyeshadow is very sheer and glittery. I had to apply it many times to get some colour pay off and it was still not very good. Maybe their other shades are better but I will probably never wear this one that came in the box (which I could not find the name for). The mascara was also a let down. It's very wet and didn't do anything for my lashes at all. Maybe once it gets older, it will dry a bit and become better, but for now, I have to apply another mascara on top to get the results I like. So I'll keep insisting with it and report back as well. But so far, I'm not impressed.
No7 Gift Box

I checked Boot's website and looks like the gift box has now been replaced with a 3 for 2 promotion. I highly recommend their lip pencils & the eyeshadow sticks. They are really good and really affordable too, especially if you get them with the £3 off voucher, which is available at the moment. The lip crayon and the primer are also nice, but nothing too special and I would definitely not bother with the other 2 products that came in the gift box. :)
