Barry M - NEW Spring '16 Launches

Barry M Spring Launches

I have always been a big fan of Barry M and therefore was very excited to attend their latest event and have a first look at all their NEW Spring '16 Beauty Launches*. And what else would I do other than share with you all about the amazing new products that are coming out?

Barry M That's How I Roll Mascara

I'm gonna start by the thing that caught my attention the most, Barry M That's How I Roll Mascara. I could not help but notice the similarity of the name and the plastic wand to the ever so popular Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. They're both got that same design with short bristles on one side and longer on the other, and the promise to curl the lashes without the need to use a curler.

While I do agree that the mascara curls my lashes, I still think I need an eyelash curler to achieve a proper, full on curl. But overall this is a lovely mascara. It's clump free, separates the lashes well, holds the curl and it's also fairly easy to remove. It makes my lashes look very natural as you can see in the photo above. I personally really enjoy it. Might not be one for a special event, when I may want loads of length, volume and drama but I'd say this is a great everyday mascara. And the best of all? It's only £4.99.

Medium to Dark

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit was a big hit last year. The sculpt and highlight trio helps enhance and define our features, with two deeper shades to give definition and a lighter shade to make the high points of the face pop. Such an incredible product. And now the collection is complete with the new shades for medium to dark skin tones.

Barry M Chisel Cheek Contour Kit Medium to Dark

Believe it or not, although my skin is on the fair side, I can still work with these. The highlighting shade is a great peach blush on me and the middle shade works great as a bronzer. The only shade that is a bit harder to manage is the darker and more ashy toned one, which I can still wear as an eyeshadow but not so much as a face powder. The pigmentation is great and for only £6.99, it's a total steal. So if you felt left out when the company brought out the successful palette last year but it didn't suit your skin colour, your problems are now solved! :)

Barry M Shape and Define Brow Kit Light to Medium

Another great addition to the Barry M family is the new light to medium shade of the Brow Kit Shape and Define. Here you get the wax, the brow shade (matte) and the highlight shade (satin pearl). The brow shade is perfect on me but I think it'd still be a bit too dark for blonde people. Really like the quality and the fact that this palette comes with a double ended applicator, tweezers and a mirror, which are all quite handy when you're on the go. So if your brows are more on the medium side of the colour spectrum, I think this would be a great product to try. It retails for £5.99.

Last but definitely not least, the new nail colours. I'll describe them by each collection:

1. Barry M Speedy Nail Paint
Barry M Speedy Nail Paint Spring 2016I love these because they dry super quick so great for busy girls who don't have time to sit around and wait forever for the nails to dry. The finish is shiny and fairly long lasting. I'd say all Barry M polishes last about 4-5 days on my nails before they start chipping. I also really like the big fat brush, which makes applying nail polish so much easier, especially for someone with not so great nail skills like me. The new pastel shades are stunning.

L to R: In A Flash, Winning Streak, Freestyle & Personal Best.

2. Barry M Gelly Nail Paint
Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Spring 2016These are super glossy and I'd say a tad bit more long lasting than the Speedy line. If you love nude nails like me, you're also gonna fall in love with the 4 new hues.

L to R: Cream Soda, Butterscotch Sundae, Pink Lemonade & Acai Smoothie.

3. Barry M Sunset Nail Paint
Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint Spring 2016The new shades in this collection are, as the name suggests, all about the bright sunset colours. When combined with the Sunset Daylight Curing Top Coat they promise to deliver the look, shine and resilience of pro salon gel nails without the need for UV lamp. Instead, they'll cure in daylight. This is the only nail polish line from Barry M that I have not tried yet. The promise is to last up to 10 days! I hope they do, as it'd be incredible. So I'll have to report back on that later (probably on my Instagram @speakingbeautyuk). The new shades are:
