My Top 5 Confidence Boosting Beauty Products

My Top 5 Confidence Boosting Beauty Products

I think feeling confident is essential to our happiness. We all have days when we need a bit of a pick me up, whether it's because we have been poorly with a cold or just want to feel more special for a night out. Here are my Top 5 Confidence Boosting Beauty Products.

My Top 5 Confidence Boosting Beauty Products

1. Clarins Instant Concealer

Makeup in general is my #1 thing for confidence boosting. I just love the process of applying makeup and getting ready to go out. I don't feel dependent on makeup to feel good but I do feel it enhances my features and makes me look more polished. However, I rarely go out with a full face of makeup. Most days, especially when I'm in a rush or just don't want to apply much makeup, concealer is my one item I cannot skip. I just love how it brightens my face and makes me look instantly healthier and more awake. It's my desert island makeup item. And Clarins Instant Concealer (in the shade 01 Light) has been my favourite for quite some time now. It's got a beautiful coverage while leaving my under eye area very hydrated. Love it! You can read more about it here.

2. Pearl Drops Pure White Whitening Treatment

I love a pretty smile. My teeth had become darker over the past few years, which I wasn't happy about. I blame my increased coffee intake. Teeth whitening is something I have considered for a while but just never went ahead with the idea, until I was introduced to Pearl Drops Pure Whitening Treatment*. The set includes 3 steps with a brightener serum, an activator serum and the polish, which feels just like our ordinary tooth paste (accompanied by a tooth brush). This is a 10 days treatment and I have felt no pain or sensitivity at all. Very easy and quick to do (only once a day) and my teeth went from shade 6 in the chart to shade 4. I know this may seem trivial for some, but having a nice smile does improve my confidence a lot. My teeth are still not as white as I'd like them to be but I love that they got brighter with this product and I will keep doing the treatment twice a year to make sure I continue to improve my latest results. :)

3. Face Masks:

Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant and Glamglow Supermud

I have reviewed these a while back as my holy grail face masks (here) and they remain my favourite ones to this date as they both help remove the top layer of my skin, making it look fresh, glowy and renewed. Glamglow, as well as a chemical exfoliator, also works as a clay mask, sucking all the impurities from my skin. Love both and simply couldn't live without them anymore.

4. Perfume - Miss Dior EDP

It might sound weird to some of you but perfume is something that always helps change my mood. I have a body spray from Victoria Secret, for example, that I love wearing on days I just want to feel cosy and warm at home, then I have some more fresh and summery scents for the warmer months and some more wintery ones too. They all bring me different memories and feelings. Does anyone have that too? The one I always go to when I want to feel sexy and confident is Miss Dior. Love the sweet and long lasting scent. It's a truly "feel good" kind of perfume for me. I think I'll always repurchase this one. I thought I'd also mention a more recent perfume that has taken a spot in my favourites for confidence... and that's Paco Rabanne Olympea. Such a stunning scent and I always get compliments when I'm wearing it.

5. Hair Curler - Cloud Nine Touch Styler

I was never into styling my hair when I was younger. But in the past year or two I've started making loose curls and I simply love it. It makes me feel really glamorous and well put together. And my hubby always compliments me whenever I curl my hair, which helps me like it even more. :) I adore my Cloud Nine Touch Styler because it doubles up as a straightener and curler in one. It's got 2 temperatures available which I can change just by "touching" the irons together twice (hence the name). I also love that it turns itself off when it senses it's been inactive for a few minutes, meaning I no longer need to be paranoid whether I left my curlers on or off. Highly recommend it.
