I'm not much of a lipgloss kinda girl but when it comes to Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lipgloss I'm all in. I recently picked up the shade Kinky and I love it. It's the perfect everyday nude.
The packaging on this lip gloss in super funky - just to make it clear, in the UK the word funky means cool or stylish. ;) I really like its simple plastic tube with the gunmetal cap. And the doe foot applicator is one of the best I've tried. Makes application really easy as the slightly pointy tip helps getting right into the corners of the mouth and controlling how much I apply to the edge of my lips.
The formula is also a favourite. Incredibly pigmented, moisturising and not too tacky, which is certainly a bonus for me. I'd say these lip glosses are more like a liquid lipstick in my books than a lip gloss. I only need one coat to achieve the desired look.
Kinky is a muted, medium peach-brown nude with a glossy finish. This is the nudest shade from the collection. Sadly, this shade in particular doesn't survive eating and drinking but I have to say it fades evenly and my lips remain moisturised even after most of the colour has gone. And that's why this Revolution Lipgloss has become my go to lip product whenever my lips are dry. It's incredible.
The Urban Decay Revolution High Color Lipglosses come in 14 shades, ranging from light to very vampy colours, in both creamy or sparkly finish. For what I experienced when I tested other shades in store, the darker colours leave a subtle stain behind, making them more long lasting.
I couldn't recommend these lipglosses more. They are the bomb! All I can say is "go out and try it for yourself". I dare you not to be at least tempted to get one. :)
These lipglosses retail for £15 and Urban Decay has released a super cute #Christmas set called Urban Decay Revolution Lipgloss Double Shot Travel Size Duo (£17) with miniatures of Liar (a deeper and more mauve nude) and Anarchy (a new and exclusive bright fuschia). I think this duo is such a great value and would make a great present for any lipgloss lover. It's also a good opportunity to try 2 colours for nearly the price of one. On top of that, Debenhams currently has 10% off beauty products so if you're interested, hurry up! I don't know when the promotion ends.
