Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipsticks and Exaggerate Lip Liners (new shades)I'm a big fan of Rimmel's lip products, so I was extremely excited to see they had released a new lipstick line and also added more shades to the Exaggerate Lip Liners, which are my favourites from the drugstore.
Rimmel is calling The Only 1 Lipsticks their "no compromise all in one lipsticks". They promise long lasting colour, comfort and hydration. And let me say beforehand... they deliver it! There are 15 new shades, ranging from nudes to red, plums and dark berry colours. Sadly, my local drugstore didn't have half of the shades available so I went for 700 Naughty Nude. I know... as my husband always jokes, I don't need another nude in my collection. Don't I? :) Naughty Nude, as the name suggests, is a pinky nude. It's the perfect 'your lips but better'. Cliché, I know. But it's the best way I can describe it. Very comfortable on the lips. It dries to a slightly satin finish, which helps ensure long wear, without drying out my lips. Another great thing about this lipstick is it leaves a subtle stain on the lips, that fades nicely throughout eating and drinking. The packaging is just a standard black glossy tube. Nothing fancy about it but I like it. It's very sturdy and the lid closes tightly, making it super safe to carry around in the handbag. The scent is the usual sweet smell, characteristic of Rimmel's lipsticks. I'm not too keen on it but it doesn't bother me much either.
The shade Naughty Nude is a great alternative for MAC Syrup and a pretty much identical dupe for MAC Brave, as you can see on the swatches below.
Overall, these are a lovely addition to the Rimmel lipstick line. I'll probably look into more shades when they have other options available in my local shops. For what I saw online, I love the look of Peachy Beachy and One of a Kind is also an amazing colour for Autumn. These retail for £6.99.
The other one I picked up was the Rimmel Obsession Lip Liner. Hold the line!!! Me buying a dark lip colour? Yes! I want to finally push myself out of my 'nude comfort zone' and experiment more with colours so what could be better than starting with a lip liner, right? This one is a dark berry colour that is simply a beautiful colour for Autumn.
I'm in love with these lip liners. The pigmentation is amazing and so is the lasting power, the consistency, everything, including the price. These retail for only £3.99 so it's a no brainer. I'm hoping my local shops will have more colours in stock soon as I want to check them all.
In case you want to give these a go, Boots and Superdrug have a Buy One Get 2nd Half Price promotion on selected Rimmel products. :)
What do you think of the new releases from Rimmel? Are you tempted to try any of them? x
