Diorshow Black Out Spectacular Volume Mascara

Diorshow Black Out Mascara

I've recently partnered with Cohorted to give away the Diorshow Black Out Spectacular Volume Mascara. And so I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on this beautiful high end product.

First thing to note is that the packaging is simple but beautiful. Although the black tube is made of plastic, as your usual mascara, you can feel the good quality on it, from the sturdiness of the material used to the brand Dior engraved on it. Let's just say it looks and feels expensive. But then it is! It usually retails for £25, but you can buy it from Cohorted for £20.

Diorshow Black Out Mascara comes with a traditional brush so nothing new or revolutionary there but it's very comfortable and easy to use. The creamy formula has a unique blend of deeply saturated pigments, reproducing the intensity of kohl. This is a very black mascara! On top of that, they've added thickening powder to ensure longevity. And it does last on me all day without crumbling or smudging (unless I scratch my eyes or something like that, of course). On top of all that, I find this mascara fairly easy to remove.

The formula is a bit on the wet side, which I personally don't mind, as mascaras tend to dry after a few uses anyway. This one I have is actually much drier now, after only 1-2 weeks since I've opened it. I love that it gives both length and quite a bit of volume too (as the name suggests). Not sure you'll be able to have a proper idea from the photos below but this mascara improves my short and sparse lashes immensely. And bear in mind I don't like applying too much mascara as I want my lashes to look clump free and as natural as possible. If you don't mind clumpy lashes, you could go wild with this product. First time I put it on, my husband asked me what I was wearing because he was impressed with how full and black my lashes looked.

The Diorshow Black Out mascara also has a slight perfume like scent to it, which is something I've only noticed in high end mascaras. Not a deal breaker but I like it and it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. Plus, the scent seems to fade almost completely after a few uses.

This is such a great mascara. I find my lashes look lovely whenever I wear it and the results I achieve are very similar to Benefit They're Real. So if you like that, you're also gonna love the Diorshow Black Out Mascara.

Have you tried this product before? What's your favourite mascara at the moment? X
