Connecting with brands I love and attending events such as the Debenhams SS16 Beauty Press Show is one of my favourite things about being a blogger.
Alina (Beauty With Charm) and I arrived together at the Haymarket Townhouse in the morning and were welcomed by a lovely lady who directed us to the breakfast lounge, where they had tea, juice and some gorgeous pastries. I got way too excited about it all and ended up not taking any pictures of the food. #BloggerProblems or should I say greedy problems? *haha* Later on we were joined by Kate (Kate Louise Blogs) and we had such a great time. I love meeting the girls and having a beauty natter. As tempting as it was (I mean, look at that bath), I promise we didn't spend all our time taking selfies in the bathroom. :D

The hotel was simply stunning! Debenhams turned each room into a cozy beauty parlour and it was just a lovely experience going around, exploring each area and discovering which products were behind each door. It was like a little treasure hunt. Super entertaining.
1st one was the Elemis BIOTEC Skin Energising range. It comes with a cleanser, a day cream and a night cream. Love the packaging and I was really impressed with how lovely the cleanser felt on my hand. I could quickly see a difference, as my skin looked very radiant instantly. It's scientifically proven to increase cell energy by 27%. Sadly, they're a bit on the expensive side but I'm keen to try the range anyway.
Another product that grabbed my attention was the new Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense Limited Edition. It's essentially the same rosewater face mist but much more intense. So instead of 1 rose, you get 5 roses in one bottle. It's purely divine. I love the original mist but the limited edition one is even better. And the packaging is also to die for. I was given an amazing hand massage using their Jasmine hand cream topped up with a rose spray afterwards. The combo left my hands feeling soft and luxurious and smelt incredible.
Clarins is another brand I love and was really excited to see at the event. They've got some beautiful products coming out for spring, including the stunning Summer Bronzing & Blush Compact (Limited Edition), a Fix' Makeup Mist (makeup setting spray), a new shade of Lip Comfort Oil and some new Ombre Iridescente waterproof cream eyeshadows, that look stunning and are supposed to be super long lasting. The new Boosters are also very promising, with 3 different purposes - to energise, to repair and to detox.
Apart from these, I also finally got the opportunity to play with some Make Up For Ever products, such as the new Ultra HD Foundations and Concealers and the new Aqua Eye Pencils XL. I got so excited about their products that I popped into Debenhams after the event and bought a couple of the eye pencils and picked up a sample of the foundation too. The HD sticks seem amazing and I really want to try them.
Amongst other base products to impress me are the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat New Formula Foundation and the Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done Tinted Moisturiser. I got samples of both and love them. The UD tinted moisturiser is very light and soft on the skin. It's quite matte straight after application but does look less "dull" once our natural oils come through during the day. Really nice product! And the new formula of the YSL Touche Eclat foundation is beautiful. I wasn't too convinced at first but I fell in love with it once I tried it with my beauty blender. It's got more coverage than the old foundation, looks natural and while it's still dewy, it's less "oily looking" than the old formula. Big thumbs up! Another one I might have to buy soon.
I also really enjoyed seeing all the products from theBalm, including the new Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow Palette. It's a completely matte palette, that would be perfect all year round as it's got some nude shades and some darker tones too. theBalm is also releasing some new shades of the Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks for spring. Seeing the collection inspired me to purchase one of the colours, which I'll feature in a haul soon.
As you can see, the event was impeccable and really fun, filled with some of the best beauty products in the market. A complete beauty blogger's dream! And in the end, we were all given a big and fantastic goodie bag with all the products in the image below, some of which are the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, theBalm Nude Tude Palette, YSL Black Opium Nuit Blanche EDP, Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash, Givenchy Mister Light Corrector Pen, Prada Candy Kiss EDP, Laura Geller Baked Blush in Tropic Hues, Perricone MD Photo Plasma Anti Aging Moisturiser SPF30, Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Serum SPF 30, Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick, Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow - Polishing Mask & more. I wasn't exaggerating, was I?! This bag is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Keep an eye on the blog as I'm gonna include some of these products in a GIVEAWAY soon. ;-) Follow me to stay updated: Bloglovin | Twitter | Instagram
So I think this is it. Forgive me if this post is too long but it's hard not to get excited and want to talk about everything. Choosing favourites from such an astonishing event feels a bit like asking a mother to choose their preferred child, but I hope I have managed to describe Debenhams Beauty Press Show as well as possible.
