REVIEW
NEW Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask

Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask

I'm always in the hunt for good skincare so it's hard to resist trying new releases such as the Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask*.

This exfoliating mask promises to deeply cleanse, smooth and brighten. It's enriched with sugar and pomegranate seeds to polish away dead, dull skin cells. It helps refine the skin texture, nourish and sooth, thanks to the presence of a sweet botanical blend of honey. Rose hips and pumpkin extract help to boost radiance, energise the skin and encourage a healthy glow.

I haven't been using it for too long but I can already tell this is a winner. I apply it to clean, damp skin and enjoy the warm sensation it gives. We're supposed to leave it on for 5-10 minutes but if I'm looking for deeper results, I'll leave for a little longer (up to 20 minutes). I then wet my hands in warm water and massage my face for about 30 seconds. Although this is not a recommendation by the brand, I will sometimes use a facial buffer to help me remove the mask thoroughly and exfoliate my skin further.

The amazing thing about this mask is that, unlike many chemical exfoliators I've used before, this one leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturised. So no tight feeling afterwards at all, which is brilliant. It's also got a delicious citrus scent, that reminds me of orange marmalade. And it does work really well and makes my skin look more fresh and renewed.

There's only one aspect of it I'm not a huge fan of - the gloopy / honey like consistency. I have to make sure I tie my hair back really well and sit tight for the whole duration of the treatment, as the product doesn't dry and can transfer easily to anything it touches. Plus I just don't love the feeling of having something so sticky on my skin. Not to mention I look as attractive as a date wanting to go to McDonalds. haha Just kidding. As if anyone can look hot while wearing a face mask anyway, right?!

So the VERDICT is: I really like the new Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask and recommend trying it if you fancy adding a great skincare product into your beauty routine. It exfoliates, it's gentle, smells divine and best of all, leaves my skin feeling very soft, radiant and hydrated. Is it my favourite mask ever? No! But it's really GOOD! :) You can purchase it at Debenhams for £38.

Have you tried this mask or any other product from the Ole Henriksen Truth range? X
