Merumaya Overnight Recharge Night Cream

Merumaya Overnight Recharge Night Cream

For a few months now I have been reading lots of great reviews on the brand Merumaya but had not had the chance to try their products until the lovely Maleka, the creator of the range, offered me to try the Merumaya Overnight Recharge Night Cream*

The product claims to have an exclusive formulation to help with multi cellular moisturisation, skin restoration, repair, firming and lifting. The texture is lovely. Creamy but not too thick and sinks in pretty quickly, leaving my skin hydrated but without feeling tacky. This cream has got hyaluronic acid, lactic acid and other great ingredients to help achieve a more youthful skin. I've been wearing it for over a week now and have noticed my skin does feel soft and more plumped by the morning. I'm really enjoying it.

I have to mention that this cream is scented, though. I feel much more excited about using products that have a nice fragrance to them than products that don't but that's something very personal. The scent is nice and sweet. At first I wasn't very sure about the smell but now I got used to it and I actually find it to be quite calming, great for bedtime but I think it'll possibly be too strong for some people. So if you have sensitive skin that tends to get irritated by fragranced skincare, I'd avoid it.

Packaging wise, I really like that it comes with a pump, as it's much more hygienic. The tube is clear, which is also nice as you can see when you're about to finish the product. However, I have to say I tend to expect a more sturdy and less basic looking packaging for a product that costs £33.50. Is it just me?

For that price you get 30ml. In my opinion that is a bit expensive as I'm used to buying 50ml moisturisers from high end brands like Clarins for the same price. Having said that, I think it'll last me around 3-4 months of daily use, which is not too bad. A little goes a long way and I only need 2 small pumps every night.

Overall, I really like this cream and I think the formula is great but if I were to suggest any changes, I'd make the scent a bit more subtle to suit a wider range of people and I'd revamp the packaging too.

Have you tried any product from Merumaya? What are your thoughts? X
